CNN's Campbell Brown reported about the Right Wing Rage since the election. In his piece he features Rush Limbaugh speaking about how Rahm Emmanuel wanted to get back at all of Clinton's "enemies" by stabbing a table with a knife while naming names and declaring each person dead. Brown did not use the right clip or the right term. It is not rage or anger, it is angst that the Right is now expressing. There are plenty of good reasons to be nervous with an Obama presidency.
First of all, George Will's column today ends with the observation that Obama has found his voice for the presidency. What a wonderful voice it is going to be for the next four years! The President-Elect has stated that he is going to issue Executive orders as soon as he is in office. Nice. So much for debate over taxes, the war and embryonic stem cell research. This is for the betterment of our country? Frightening.
Secondly, Obama did not win a majority of the vote, however, don't tell that to him or his followers. They believe that there were a few that didn't vote for him. They will be listened to, or rather they will be silenced. The path is being laid out to control everything that we read, listen to or say out loud. Our basic rights in the constitution will be questioned, challenged and tried to be stripped away. Added to them will be the Second Bill of Rights according to President Obama . Instead of public discourse, there will be eyes in the public watching for anyone daring to read, write or speak negatively about Obama's Presidency. The media has already begun to be a propaganda machine for the "messiah." That role will be strengthen and rewarded in the coming years.
Third, America will no longer be a leader in military or in industry. We will no longer be a leader, period. The left decries that the country has lost all respect from other countries. Well, no one respects cowards and certainly they don't respect a person when they don't stand by their words. We may not get hit by terrorist attacks, because Obama is friendly with them and they will not want to embarrass this president, but other nations who are trying to assert themselves as world powers will get their wish. America will be at the mercy of their agenda. There is nothing that Obama and his team will do to stop them. In their eyes, America is not the nation promoting liberty, democracy and freedom. It is a nation who shamefully tried to force their desire to share liberty, democracy and freedom with the world. Again, frightening.
Finally, we will experience what it is like to live in a third world country. The foundation of our economy is good, but Obama will destroy it with taxes, taxes and more taxes. Don't believe this? Read what he has to say about giving out social programs for everyone, including illegal aliens. Where is all this money going to come from? YOU, MR. AND MRS. TAXPAYER. Members of his own party are now calling for the bailout of the auto industry. How did we get here? It's called government regulations that have stifled the auto industry. Now that it is harder to make the product effectively, executives go to the same source that made it difficult to produce the product in the first place. If members of the congress and senate really want to help the industry, try removing the oppressive regulations first. It will be much more cost effective on the taxpayer's pocket book.
If this seems like this is all gloom and doom, it is. There is only one way to stop this and that is to go back to what our founding fathers did --- throw the tea in the harbor before it is too late. We can not be complacent and think that Obama will govern from the Center. Nothing in his written works, actions and speeches explore the possibility of coming together to work things out. Rather it is getting into "people's faces and make them understand the ideology." Sounds like a gang mentality if there ever was one. Whether the left likes to hear it or not, to be more accurate, it sounds more like a socialist mandate.
