When Will We Impeach?

The collective thought of America today should be,  2010 is too late to strike and win back the country.  That is not the case.  Too  many of our fellow Americans have drank the Kool-aid that is laced with poisonous venom from Obama;'s camp.  In the past 100 days or so,  President Obama and his minions have set in motion the quickest switch to a socialist government ever imaginable.  Not one person on Election Night 2008 would have ever believed that this man would work as quickly, and without opposition.  There is a  need for strong leaders who will stand up for conservative principals,   and from the perspectives of many political observers, these leaders  have left Washington.  So the same old game plan is being used by Republicans, let's find the center and run with it.  How about this for an idea?  Let's find a backbone and run with that!  True conservative principals never die and never lose.  In the meantime,  the taxpayers by the executive Order of Obama, will make sacrifices to ensure for the next generation some glimmer of  hope. Maybe.  Is the man hypocritical or incompetent in leading this country.  Sadly, he is both and then he is not.  He is, as  Pravda would boast of their leaders in Russia, the best Marxist that ever lived.  Obama is not Russian, but he is a very good student of Socialism, Communism and Marxism.  He is building a movement bigger than the other three ideology combined and  enjoying the ride.   It is time to impeach the man for not only being incompetent, but also for treason.  No politician in their right  mind would set this economic disaster in motion without first thinking: How can I destroy America and make it work to my advantage?  Obama, Yes he can!
Arguments that this is just fear mongering is for those who wish to place their heads firmly into the sand.  The evidence is overwhelming on the path that Obama has taken thus far.  First the banks.  Bailout as many banks as possible,  give out money without the intentions to track it,  create a "stress" test for banks that meets the Government standard of pass or fail and   do not let bankers pay back loans.  It's is a protection plan that only a thug in the Sopranos could administer, but alarmingly it is coming from the United States Government.  Now the government owns the banks.
The next step to killing the American economy was a natural one.  Tied in with the banking,   Obama has  decreed  that Mortgage s and credit card companies must change their standard practice of business.   Mortgage companies can not foreclose on homes where the owners can not pay their monthly payments The credit card companies can not charge additional interest rates for those who do not pay on time.  In other words,  the financial sector of American Business  has just been told that they can not make money.  How many people does this policy actually help?  Well according to MSNBC,  Obama's expansion  of an existing 300 billion dollar program which aims tp adjust mortgage rates, aided a mere 50 homeowners out of 400,000 it was intended to help.  In other words,  the Americans who are suppose to live within their means can not do so under Obama's rescue.  That is by design, not accident.   After all If homeowners printed more money, they'd be in jail.  Obama does it because he can!
Next, the Auto companies.  Print money to bailout the Big Three.  Knowing all along that the money could not save the companies from bankruptcy.  Tell the people what they want to hear.  Obama will fix everything,  only he and his mighty government can.  Remember bankruptcy was not an option, the auto industry was too big to fail.   The government now owns 70% of GM,  which has declared bankruptcy on June 1, 2009.  The President's Press Office claims that they will initiate plans for the Government to hand the company back over to the Auto Executives.  Believe this,  there will be a "Stress" test imposed on the Auto industries just as it is applied to the Banks.  The Great Stimulus of 2009 hasn't even managed one spark of hope. Many Chrysler dealerships are now fighting to stay open, because the White House has decreed that the dealerships are not viable.  When looking at the sales receipts of the dealership,  it appears that there is a blatant attempt to destroy the Auto Industries.  Why?  The only conclusionan be that Obama plans include the Auto Industries as another business in their control.  What's next?  Don't be alarmed:  Healthcare.
On Wednesday,  May 27 Obama told his rich supporters in Hollyweird, that the economy was getting better.  We have turned the corner.   Yet, today only a mere five days later,  he announces that the Economy will take longer to recover and that even though we did not choose to sacrifice taxpayers will do it anyways.  Again, by the decree of the President.  It is not a stretch to say, Michigan can not handle more job losses.   Yet, just when the April unemployment numbers are at a record high,  Obama pulls the plugs on more jobs, and businesses.  Smart?  Yes, if one is looking to orchestrate a controlled crisis.  Not to worry,  single handily, Obama  has saved or created 500,000 new jobs.  That's liberal speak for, "It's fuzzy math, but don't worry in the end everything will be worth zilch so it doesn't matter anyways."
Extremist Muslims and other who hate what American has been able to accomplish, have stated that the way to destroy America is within and through the financial systems.  Causing the rift in ties to American enterprise,  and a strong economy.  Could it be that the President is working with the enemy?  This is treason.  it is time to impeach before he destroys the country further.  Before our liberties are nothing more than a fading memory.

So Detroit does not make cars America like?

Forbes  has just published the top ten best selling cars in America.  Guess what?  The top two cars are not hybrids or compact cars.  As a matter of fact they are American made trucks.  The Ford F series and the Chevy Silverado topped the list as the best selling vehicles in the United States.  So much for the wisdom from Congress that the Big Three do not know what types of cars to make and what Americans will buy.  In the top ten list there are 5 American companies and 5 foreign imports, like Toyota and Honda.  It is an even split, but I'd like to see the top ten cars be American built.  Maybe it's time for Americans to support Americans.  Please do not write detailing how the foreign car factories help the American economy.  Ultimately the money they make from  car sales goes back to Japan.  Don't try to kid yourself that it does not.
A hearty congrats to Ford and GM for making quality trucks.  Keep up the good work.

What went wrong in Detroit

The Big Three have gone to D.C. again to plead their case for a loan.  While the big wigs in Congress are wringing their hands and putting the auto executives on the hot seat,  at home, Detroiters are wondering what is going to happen next.  For the past couple of months there have been no clear answers to what went wrong with the Big Three.   Oh, sure  everyone is pointing fingers at everyone, but there are no clear answers or clear solutions.  It may help to trace back the origins to see how this mess got rolling and thus built up momentum to the point that it is ready to steam roll over everyone associated with  the industry.
Some pundits have said that if the Big three would just make cars that people would want to buy, part of the problem would be solved.  WRONG.   People don't have the money to buy cars or they are waiting for things to get better before getting a new vehicle.  Let's face it, if your car is working pretty well, why replace it unless it is a necessity.  Take a look at the sales foreign car manufacturers, they are all down.  So the theory that the Big Three does not make cars people like is bogus.  The foreign auto makers sales should be up, but they're not.  The reason why car sales are down is largely due to the fact that the economy didn't turn bad over night, it was gradual.  As the stock market started to shake a little,  consumer confidence was down and the gas prices skyrocketed.  All these factors together didn't cause the total melt down of the Big Three, but it sure didn't help.
Another cry from Congress and others,  the Auto Executives make too much money.  WRONG. How much should an executive be paid to run a multi million dollar company?  There is  a lot of responsibility at the top, not to mention that these men and women worked their way up to get to that position.   So who is really getting paid too much?  The autoworkers in the factories. The average pay is $28.00 per hour, that does not include the health care benefits, the overtime, vacation which brings the figure up to $33.65.  This wage is for workers who did not go to college,  did not learn a specialized skill, and in most cases do not move up the ladder, but do the same job, with the same task day in day out.  So why  is it that they deserve this amount of money?  If someone can explain that, besides the Union thugs, that would be one of this world's greatest mysteries solved. Please, do not add in that the workers have families, that is not a reason to pay them that much.   For years, the executives have been blasted for sending jobs overseas.  Can you blame them?  When  the cost of the  employees keep going up, the cost of dealing with specific government regulations are added on, not to mention taxes.  Why build an expensive car in the United States when you can build the same car cheaper in another country?   Don't  blame the Executives for the money they make, they are at the top.  They should get paid big bucks.  Blame the unions who acted like thugs and literally put a gun to all three companies demanding the wages for the workers when no other company in their right mind would give that kind of wages.  Ask anyone who works for Toyota.
The Unions want to help out the Big Three and they are only in it to help the "workers"  WRONG.  The unions are what got Detroit in this problem.  They have become corrupt,  greedy and political. Union dues do not go back to the workers or help them in anyway.  They go to political parties and groups that support the thuggery that is the Unions.  Anytime there is a Democrat candidate,  the unions always put their nasty face in and demand that their members vote Democrat.  They are in bed with dirty politics and they will stay there until their demise.  What would be nice to see is if Congress says that they will give the bridge loan on the condition that the UAW and all unions would be disbanded. A pipe dream, for sure.  It will never happen but it should. The Unions have done more to damage the American workforce than any law legislation could.  They demand more pay for less production. If there is a fault in this statement,  let it be proven wrong with good solid evidence.  Warning:  it may take forever and a day to find it because it just is not out there.
Finally, what went wrong with Detroit, is that the same government that the Big Three are turning to is the same one that piled on all the restrictions, the  taxes and worker demand on them. RIGHT.  The United States Government, especially the Democrats who are so cozy with the unions,  save the earth extremist and anyone who hates capitalism, have created this path for the Big Three to fail.  It was disheartening to  hear the CEO of GM, Rick Wagoner apologize and state that GM made mistakes.  The congressmen, every single one of them, gloated.  Watching the spectacle unfold on the news, the running line under the congressmen should haver read,  "Oh, wonderful the executives are taking the blame so no one can point at  us."   The one problem with the Big Three going to the Government is that it's like an abused spouse going back to the abuser.  Take the slaps, hits and insults  in order to get what is needed to survive.  This is what has become of the Big Three and Detroit.
Should the Bridge loan be approved?  Yes but it is not going to be the "lifeline" this great city and industry needs. It will take much more than that.  Ford, GM and Chrysler  have made an industry that has not only kept Detroit running but also America.  If we want to see them succeed,  it has to start from the bottom up.  American consumers should support American companies by not only buying products that are made by Americans but also by demanding that congress get out of the companies way and let them do what they know how do do best.  We have been the best at designing cars that everyone in the world wants, it is time to reclaim that title.  Let this be the first consumer's voice to rise up and tell congress to stop standing in the way of progress, ingenuity and the creation of the American automobile.

What Michigan and the Big 3 should have taught us

Michigan seems to be a hot spot for political  news lately.  In pre-election days, the spotlight was on the state because of moving up the Primary.  We were told by the Democrat Party that the votes in Michigan would not count.  After all the hand ringing, they finally counted the votes but in the end it made little difference in the selection of the Democrat nominee.   A while later, before the Democrat convention no less,  Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was facing some legal issues that eventually had him removed from office.  It seems that there is a pesky little law that states no one can lie under oath in a court of  law, even if you are the current mayor of Detroit. This made such a stir in the national news, that even the Messiah could not ignore the situation.  The Messiah of today does not dine or associate with sinners.  He tells them to stay away from convention, rallies and fundraisers so that there will be no questioning of  his standing as the nominee of hope, change and miracles.  No loss there.  Obama was assured of the Democrat vote based on two things.  One,  Detroit almost always vote Democrat and two, Governor Granholm. A week after the election, not only did the state of Michigan stay in the Democrat column, the auto industry made headlines.  GM and Ford are running out of money, time and hope.  It's time for a bailout of this industry too.    If  the industry is not fixed, the economy will suffer.  I've heard that somewhere, so it must be true, right?
Having been a Michigander all my life,  there are clues in all of the events that tell a  bigger story that everyone is missing.   Michigan is the worst state of the Union when it comes to taxes, unemployment and government.  It is ranked number 50 out of 50, based on economic conditions.  This is also a blue state, which makes no sense because Governor "We'll blow you away,"  Granholm has taken a bad economy and made it one hundred times worse.  Exaggerating?  Nope.  The new state motto is "Will the last one to Leave Michigan, please  turn off the lights."  For years the Governor  has been going on foreign trips to encourage  business to come to Michigan to build and prosper.  I don't  know how great of a sell that can be when these countries have been witnessing American companies fleeing to countries who offer less regulation, less taxes and  wages for workers that do not hurt the bottom line.   So what do these news item together should have taught the nation?    Taxes, unions and Democrats are a lethal combination for the economy.
The Michigan tax plan is taken right out of the Democrat's blueprint for governing.  Governor Granholm raised taxes at a time when it should have been lowered.  When the headlines screamed that the population of Michigan was 13 million less, due to the fact that people were forced to relocate for better jobs.   The brilliant Governor raised the taxes on the poor souls who couldn't leave Michigan even if they wanted.  The real estate market is so bad that it is not uncommon to drive down any suburban neighborhood with  two or three houses for sale on the same street.  Unemployment has risen due in part to the State government not supporting small businesses  and taxing them further.  What other taxes have gone up you ask?  Let's see,  sales tax, property tax, city taxes   and the list can go on.  In recent headlines,  Granholm has been mentioned as part of President-elect's economic team.  As any sane person would know, the woman has no clue on economic issues but she did help bring in the Union vote for Obama.  Which leads to the next point.
Unions.  They are the "mafia" of the workforce.  They claim that they have an offer that you can not refuse, and literally, companies are at the mercy of their demands.   So are the employees.   In a union workshop, if you do not belong to the union by choice,  it is still required that you pay dues.  It is amazing to think that at one time Unions did actually have the interest of the common workers, and for awhile improved work conditions.  However, as everyone knows, too much of a good thing will go bad.  When the unions began demanding more benefits, fewer hours and better wages,  the productivity of the American worker went down.  If demands were not met,  a strike would be called and work would cease.  This worked so well in the factories, that soon everyone wanted to have unions.  Schools, government,  and hospitals.  The only place the unions did not penetrate were the small businesses.   These businesses didn't matter much to the unions in the beginning.  However, look at the domino effect here.  When areas such as schools, hospitals, airlines,  and building all started to feel the pinch of higher taxes.  The workers began to lose jobs.  The unions lost dues.  The small businesses were booming.  Time for the mafia of the workforce to make the rounds and start intimidating the business owners to allow the unions into their buildings.   If that doesn't work, use the money from  union dues towards the Democrat candidates in hopes that they will be elected.  As they are doing that, remind the employee that they are doing this on the employee's behalf.  The Unions will not only represent the workers, they will speak, act and think for the little guys and gals.  After all, they were fool enough to vote for a union, when they could not stand up for themselves.  Unions have always pushed their membership to vote they way they are told to vote.  It is another attempt to think, speak and act for little guy. Never mind that they are backstabbing the same people who pay their dues.  Is that why the Union thugs want to do away with secret balloting for unions?  Afraid of losing power?  Which leads to the final point, the Democrats.
Democrats buy into the mentality that anything can be fixed by throwing money at the problem.  If you don't have enough money, get more of it but never use your own money.  Taxpayer money  is much more efficient.   It is seldom a wonderful idea to watch spending, cut corners where need be and let the market fix itself.  That would mean giving up control.  Once a Democrat is in power,  it is impossible to get them out.  Need examples,  here they are:  Conyers, Levin, Kennedy, Clintons and on and on.   Power to the Democrats is like sugar to a baby.  Very addicting to the child.   To everyone else around the child,  it is a headache.  There is no way of controlling the child on a sugar buzz, you just have to wait it out.    Michigan has been waiting six long years, longer if you consider the leadership of  Levin and Conyers,  for the sugar buzz to end.  The state should have been a warning to the rest of  the nation when it came time for the election.   Democrats, taxes and unions do not mix.  President-elect Obama has all three elements in his administration, plus much more.   If you wanted to see how patriotic it is to be paying more taxes, look to Michigan.  If you want to see what happens when businesses are punished with taxes and regulations, look to Michigan.  If you want to see what the Unions have done to an industry that once was the pride of the Motor City, look to Michigan.   If you want to see where the American dream is dying, look to Michigan.  If you want to see how liberal propaganda can be hypnotic so that the voters will  listen to the same old  promises and forget that they were promised these things before, look to Michigan.   Michigan should  have taught the rest of the country to not follow this road.  However, Michigan did teach the Democrats to keep doing what they are doing.
