In a high school government class they teach students, or at least let's hope they still do this, that the President takes an oath to before taking the highest office in America. The words that make up this oath have been used since George Washington days and to the present day. When Barack Hussein Obama said this Oath in January 2009, the words were not changed. He swore upon a bible that he " solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter." Remember the words "support and defend the Constitution".
In the past couple of weeks the White House has been on a rampage to silence all sources who are against them and their ideas. The list goes on for miles and includes, insurance companies, Fox News, The Commerce Department and so on and so on. It has come to the point that Americans keeping up with the news of the day are beginning to get confused. Who is on the "list"? Why? Are you kidding? When the White House decided to discredit Fox News on other news station, even Helen Thomas, who is not a fan of conservatives by any means, warned he White House not to go there" However, big time Chicago Thugs see it different. Discredit Fox News, and keep everyone talking about this scandal while they take care of other matters. Think along the lines of changing healthcare. No one should notice. Americans are much too busy looking elsewhere.
Also today, Thursday, October 22 there is a bill on the floor that will change the way Americans will be viewing the Internet. It is called "Net Neutrality", nice sounding name but doesn't the Fairness Doctrine sound nice too. Big Government not only wants to line up the news source on Television that are not appropriate for the viewing audience, they will also control the content on the Internet. A Fairness Doctrine for the Internet, and the Radio industry thought they would be alone in their fight to keep information free and out of government control. Is the puzzle now staring to come together for everyone yet? Let's not forget, bailing out the newspapers whose circulation numbers are so low, that it is on life support. If the Government can now own the Banking industry, the Automotive Industry, why not own the papers too! Americans are too busy with other matters.
All of this is coming down to destroying the most important part of the Constitution. The rights of citizens to express themselves without fear of punishment from the Government. This means citizens have the right to voice a different opinion than those expressed from the highest office. They have a right to assemble peacefully in protest of the government. They have a right to practice the religion of their choice. What the White House and the Democrat leaders are now doing is dismantling the Constitution of the United States, beginning with number one on the Bill of Rights. Shut down the voices of dissent. Governmental controls will be in control of news contents, with no explanations or questions allowed. America will cease to be free. America will have lost her soul if Americans allow their government to continue on this path. The truth is chilling.
America has withstood enemies before. Never have the citizens ever had to worry about the enemies from within their own country. This President promised, just like all the others before him, that he would support and defend the Constitution of the United States. He has already broken his promise. By targeting the voices that disagree with him, he has made it clear that there will be no voice to listen to but HIS. Someone close to him should remind him that he is President not King. Unfortunately, the people he has surrounded himself with are little henchmen who have been dreaming of the day that they could have their own Castro, Chairman Mao, Stalin, Chavez and Hitler all rolled into one person. Isn't it obvious that Obama did not take the words seriously in the Oath? He admitted himself he does not believe the Constitution is good enough to rule because it leaves no "positive" acts that a government can do to its people. It is too constricting. Mr. President, the American People are not stupid. A government who has unlimited power on what they can do to it's citizens is not a model of a Republic. It is a model of socialism, communism and a totalitarian government. Americans, if they choose, can read between the lines of your words. If Americans don't stand up now, the rights that generations of Americans have enjoyed for over two hundred years, will be taken away and there will be no turning back.
