The Infamous Effigy

It is not too  difficult to understand where the left sand.  They are juvenile in their attempts to express themselves.  Such is the case with Chad Michael Morrisette of West Hollywood, who has a disgusting  Halloween display this year.  It is an outrage that anyone in their  right mind would display an effigy of any candidate hanging by a noose.  What bothers me more,  is that FBI  has proven without a doubt that the words "kill him" were NEVER uttered at the Sarah Palin rally. However, Obama and his supporters never back away from the lie or miss an opportunity to stick racism to the act.  Yet,  when  hanging an effigy is hanging outside the home of one of  their supporters,  they see nothing, hear nothing and say nothing.  How convient. mr Morrisette has gone over the line.  Authroities in North Hollywood should be ashamed of themselves for hiding behind the argument of right to free speechfor an excuse of not doing anything.  This effigy is a symbol of violence and as such can incite violence. There is no point in waiting to see if anything happens.  By then it may be too late.  The bigger question here is:  If there were an effigy of Barack, how fast would it come done in that fair city?  My guess, quicker than you can blink an eye. And that would be the appropriate response.  There is no room for violence in free speech.
The Barack/Biden ticket should come out and publicly  denounce this display.  Whatever the reason for their silence, it speaks volume to their character, or rather the lack of character.   Mr. Morrisette may not care what conclusions people take from the display, but he should care that people may take the wrong message and act upon it.   Shame on Mr. Morrisette.  Shame on the West Hollywood authorities. To the Barack/Biden ticket, this should be the message to  you.  Your campaign is not about bringing hope and bringing people together.  Rather,  your campaign is about hate and bringing out the worst in people.
